As readers we need to be proactive and responsible in how we use the platform. There are built-in tools to use to help shape the algorithm to reflect our personalized interests: When you read a headline for an article you are not interested in, click on the 3 dots and select "dismiss this story".

Dismissing stories made those money making self-help articles with the XY template ("I made X amount of money doing Y") vanish from my Medium feed.

Instagram has a similar tool, "not interested," which I've used to help adjust my Instagram experience.

Demanding Medium do this or Medium do that isn't appropriate when Members have the tools to take their experiences into their own hands.
